Childhood memories of the smell of printing ink, the sound of the presses, the strange lights, the darkrooms used to process film, the magic of my grandfather’s printing firm. Returning home with gifts of books tucked under my arm.
Years later, after a degree in French and a Masters in History of Art, I was asked by two publishers to try my hand at book design. I spent time playing around with grids and typography and I was hooked.
I now live in Oxfordshire, working as a freelance graphic designer and French to English translator, spending my days playing with graphics, type and words.
